2009 US User Group Meeting & Training: San Diego, CA

ChemAxon's second US User Group Meeting (UGM) will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday Sept. 15-16, 2009, at the Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa, Mission Boulevard, San Diego, CA.

The UGM will be preceded by developer and end user training on Monday 14th.

The meeting will include oral and poster presentations from ChemAxon users, partners and developers with plenty of opportunity to network with peers and meet with developers and discuss and work through problems.

As with our previous meetings we would encourage attendees to let us know what they would like to see during the event and feedback through the Meeting Registration or by posting a comment to the UGM forum.

Preceding the UGM on September 14th, the training day has 2 separate tracks;

• Training track for developers focused on ChemAxon's Application Program Interface (API)
• Workshop track for end users wanting to explore Instant JChem, JChem for Excel and other ChemAxon desktop applications.

All attendees will receive documentation, complete code for worked examples and a time limited license to all ChemAxon functionality.

On Monday 14th, from 4.30pm (following the workshop and training session) all training and UGM attendees are invited to an informal QnA session where ChemAxon developers are standing by to discuss and resolve real users problems.

Lightning round presentations

During the Wednesday morning session ChemAxon Partners will be giving brief overviews of how ChemAxon adds value to their products and services.

Partner Exhibition- under confirmation

Throughout the day Partners will be hosting an exhibition session where attendees can meet and find out more about Partner products and services.

As with all of out meetings there is a rich program of complimentary social events to meet and mix with attendees and ChemAxon staff. All transport will be provided.

Beer on the beach!^* Monday Sept. 14 from 18:00

A chance for training attendees and those just arrived to relax, enjoy the facilities of the resort, BBQ and mingle.
^* No actual drinking on the beach :)

Cocktails then of to the Strip Club Tuesday Sept. 15 from 18:00

Enjoying the views of San Diego harbour with a cocktail then a short walk to the Cohn Restaurant Gaslamp Strip Club for an informal make your own.

Mexican and pub crawl in the old town Wednesday Sept. 16 from 18:30

To wind down after the meeting we set off for for some relaxed mexican cuisine and then a wander through the bars along San Diego Avenue.

The cost of the 2 day User Group Meeting is $270 for corporate attendees and $150 for academics.

The cost for the Workshop day $350 for corporate attendees and $180 for academics. The cost includes all breaks and the meeting banquet.
