Topic: How GNF Integrates Drug Discovery Data.
Abstract:
It requires more than just data warehousing to effectively integrate heterogeneous drug discovery data sources. The multiple approaches GNF undertakes to host both internal and external structured data include a custom-built informatics system (GNF Lead Discovery Database - LDDB) and a PubChem-based compound annotation pipeline. A technology called GNFind was used to dynamically link data contained in databases, third party applications (including Excel), and arbitrary web pages. These tools in combine addresses the data integration challenge to a large extend.
