Post subject: Performance degradation in new v2.2 during overlap analysis
Posted: Thu Jan 17, 2008 12:04 am
Hi,
I used the Biometa DB with around 10,000 molecules and
performed an overlap analysis with perfect search (Stereo and Tautomer: OFF) same DB as target and query.
With the 2006 development version time: 30 sec.
With the new v2.2 version: 5 minutes.
Thats a factor of degradation of 10.
The old version is basically running and the new V2.2 is just sticky.
(see also the flicker problem).

You are right, I can confirm the performance regression in current version. The problem was already localized and will be fixed in IJC 2.1.1 (planned release approximately by end of January).
Thanks for bug report.
