Between Excel Instances
Back to index pageStructures can be copied to the clipboard from a selected range of the worksheet and can be pasted to a worksheet in another Excel instance. Both the Ctrl+C and the Copy right-click menu item can be used to copy the structures to the clipboard but only the Paste Special|XML Spreadsheet function can be used to paste them into another Excel instance.
| 1. | Copy the structures from Excel instance 1 to the clipboard by using Ctrl+C or the Copy right-click menu. |
| 2. | Keep running Excel instance 1 and change to another Excel instance (Excel instance 2), select a cell in a worksheet and select the Paste Special|XML Spreadsheet function. |
| 3. | The structures copied from Excel instance 1 are displayed in Excel instance 2. |
It is also possible to paste the structures into Excel instance 2 by using the Paste Structure context menu item.
