Add a Custom Field to a SharePoint List

SharePoint lists allow users to modify their columns and views. A view can be modified by adding/removing columns and also by performing some item filtering.

To add a JChem Custom Field the necessary steps are the same as when adding a native SharePoint field:

 

Step 1. Navigate to the list where you want to add the Custom Field.

Step 2. In the ribbon select the List tab and click Create Column button.

Step 3. Enter the name and select a column (e.g. JChem Structure)

Step 4. Set up the column and click OK (you can leave the default values and change them later. NOTE: some values cannot be changed after a column was created).
