Adding a Web Part to a page

SharePoint pages allow users to customize them by adding and/or removing web parts; also by editing their properties like: width, height, border, etc.

To add a Webpart to a page follow the following steps:

 

Step 1. Expand Site Actions menu on the top left corner of the page.

Step 2. Click Edit Page menu item.

Step 3. Click the desired page zone where you want to add the Webpart.

Step 4. Select a Webpart from the Webpart Navigator.

Step 5. Click Add

Step 6. Configure the Webpart if required.
