Configure Web Applications

The final configuration steps required by JChem for SharePoint have to be performed at web application level.

 

1. Navigate to Central Administration | Application Management | Manage Service Applications

2. Click on the JChem service application previously created and click Manage from the ribbon

3. Navigate to Configure Web Applications.

4. Select the web application which will be used for JChem for SharePoint services.

5. (Optional) Check the Enable option for Existing site collections. This will automatically activate the JChem for SharePoint features on every site collection existing in the selected web application.

6. Press OK.

This page automatically adds to the web.config a custom http module and safe controls required by the JChem for SharePoint webparts.

WARNING! Checking the Delete option will revert the above mentioned changes and the JChem for SharePoint features will not work anymore. This option is meant to be used only in Uninstall scenarios.
