Structure Editor Web Part

The Structure Editor Webpart allows users to edit easier and faster the structures from a list.

How to use the JChem Structure Editor function on SharePoint lists

Add the JChem Structure Editor web part to a list

Step 1: Select an existing custom list which has at least a JChem structure column and which contains some items with structures.

Step 2: Activate the Edit mode by selecting the Edit Page action. The Add a Web Part button is displayed at the top of the page.

Step 3: Select the JChem Structure Editor web part (JChem category) and click on the Add button.

The Structure Editor web part is displayed above the list, but it is not configured yet.

Step 4: Edit the webpart and set in the Connections field. Choose to get the row from the desired list on the page. The Structure Editor webpart is now displayed on the page.

Step 5: Exit edit mode

Step 1: Select the connected item from the list. The corresponding structure is displayed in the webpart.

Step 2: Change the structure as desired.

Step 3: Press Save. The new structure should be displayed in the list.
