The above error occurs, when trying to install the JChem For SharePoint Search service application, but the JChem .NET API is not installed. Since, JChem .NET API is a prerequisite for the JChem For SharePoint Search Service application, it should be installed before the Service application.

 

Fixing the  issue:

Install JChem .NET API on the SharePoint 2010 Server
