JChem For SharePoint Search uses its own windows service to handle crawled information at indexing time. Before start using the JChem For SharePoint Search application the windows service should be created. To make your life easier, we  prepared the jcsadm.exe tool to be able to create the required windows service.

 

Open a command prompt with administrator rights and run the following command:

 

jcsadm.exe -o createservice

 

If the command completed successfully, the result should be:

 

 

To verify the results, open the "Start Menü / Administrative Tools / Services". The JChem Indexing Service is already in the list.

 

 

The service is not started at the moment. At this point, you should not care about the service state (stopped) and its logon user (Local System). In the next section these settings will be changed.
