Refiners

The refiner methodology is introduced in the default SharePoint Search previously. JChem Search for SharePoint's refiner methodology is based on the same rules as the SharePoint's one, but it was enhanced to apply more chemical terms and chemical refining possibilities.

Typical refiners

Display mode is not a real refiner, but you can switch between the available views.

Refiners are:

•	Context dependent, which means they are dynamically created at run time, based on the actual result set.

•	Molecule Format and Structure refiners.

And

•	You can always "reset" the refiners when you click the refiner starting with Any...

•	You can find the hit count for that refiner item in brackets.

•	Click a refiner will start a new search and show the results in the same view

•	You can repeat the refine actions, so you can further refine an "already refined" result set.
