Class Summary

IUPACNamer

Generator for Prefered IUPAC Names (PIN).

Exception Summary

IUPACNamer.Error	Generic class for errors encountered while generating a IUPAC name.
IUPACNamer.TimeoutError	Signals a timeout while generating a IUPAC name.
IUPACNamer.UnsupportedError	Signals that the structure which had to be made falls into an unsupported case.

Package chemaxon.marvin.io.formats.name.nameexport Description

This packages implements the generation of IUPAC names for chemical structures.

Choices made when several IUPAC names are possible:

• Homogeneous heterocompounds: bicyclo[4.2.1]nonasilane and not nonasilabicyclo[4.2.1]nonane
• Heterogeneous heterocompounds composed of alternating hetero atoms: the systematic name is used, for instance 2,4,6,8,9-pentaoxa-1,3,5,7-tetrasilabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane and not bicyclo[3.3.1]tetrasiloxane
• Silasesquioxanes, silasesquithianes, silasesquiazanes and so forth are not handled specifically but are given systematic names.
