• December 15th 1998 Marvin 1.2.4. Sketcher detachment improved.
• December 10th 1998 Marvin 1.2.3. Module loading improvements. Molfile export moved into an external module.
• December 3rd 1998 Marvin 1.2.2. Fix for some thread confusion problems. A minor installation improvement.
• December 1st 1998 Marvin 1.2.1. Fix for the setMol problem in Netscape 3.
• November 29th 1998 Marvin 1.2. New since version 1.1:
  • Unique SMILES export. The resulting SMILES string is independent from the way the molecule had been drawn. This feature can be used to check if two molfiles represent the same molecule.
  • User interface improvements. A button click detaches the sketcher from the web page.
  • Modularization. From now on, you don't have to worry about the increasing download time as Marvin evolves. "Extra" features such as the SMILES support are downloaded only when needed.
  • marvinst1200.class - Self-extracting Java archive to simplify installation and uninstallation of Marvin binaries and documentation in a directory. Also solves the problem with the semicolon bug in the Zip and WinZip archivers.
  • Documentation on molecule file formats known by Marvin, including MDL mol, compressed mol and SMILES.
