Reasons behind the decision:
- Oracle announced the deprecation of the Applet technology on February 9th, 2016.
- By the first quarter of 2017, the only browser that supports Java plugin is Internet Explorer 11 (please note that all older IE versions are legacy browsers).
- On EUGM 2016 (May 23-25, 2016), ChemAxon announced that Marvin Applet development would be discontinued.
- Our blogpost about the end of the Applet technology was posted on July 5th, 2016.
