How to check the bit-version of Microsoft Office installed on my computer?
Back to index pageTo install the proper version of JChem for Office, first you need to check the exact version of Microsoft Office/Excel, which is already installed on your computer. It can be 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Microsoft Office.
PLEASE NOTE THAT:
-IF MICROSOFT OFFICE-64-BIT IS INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER, YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE 64-BIT VERSION INSTALLER OF JCHEM FOR OFFICE.
-IF MICROSOFT OFFICE-32-BIT IS INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER, YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE 32-BIT VERSION INSTALLER OF JCHEM FOR OFFICE.
If Microsoft Office 2010 is installed on your computer, please follow this link.
If one of the most recent versions, Microsoft Office 2013 and 2016 is installed on your computer, please follow these steps:
1. Launch Microsoft Excel (see Word, PowerPoint and Outlook later).
2. Go to File/Account menu:

3. On the upcoming dialog you can see the exact version of Microsoft Excel installed on your computer. In case of Microsoft Office 2016 64-bit version, the dialog is the following:

In case of Microsoft Excel 2013 32-bit version, the dialog looks like the following:

4. If you are using Word, Outlook or Powerpoint, the dialogs are very similar:

5. On the upcoming dialogs you can see the exact version of Microsoft Word/Outlook/Powerpoint installed on your computer. In case of Microsoft Office 2016 64-bit version:
